Food For Thought: Hardwork = Going Further … Is An Illusion

What really makes us productive is not only hard work, but also self care.

Food For Thought: Hardwork = Going Further …is an illusion

💡 In my early days of entrepreneurship, I was so focused on working hard and putting in the grind and hours, believing that all of this would pay off and reap in a waterfall of wealth into my bank account… little to realise 3 years later, I was on the brinks of being broke

Six years later, back in the entrepreneurship space – this time, the illusion that one must work hard to #succeed no longer exists, and here’s HOW AND WHY:

✅ When we live to exist (in life and business) with a purpose that is fulfilling, we begin to enjoy and love what we do in life and business. Anything we do becomes effortless…

✅ Similarly, an entrepreneur (or anyone) who looks beyond wealth, begins to attract the energy levels of the universe and the right people towards them. This is proven by successful entrepreneurs such as Vishen Lakhiani and Richard Branson, who focus on SERVING VS PROFITABILITY

✅ Being successful does not mean one has to live life trying to keep up with the Joneses. 60 to 80 hour workweeks that are not high value task-focused means we neglect our priorities, makes no sense and leads to unfulfillment.

✅ To short-cut the success process, start focusing on the value created in our hours (the quality of those hours) instead of the number of hours (the quantity).

💎 Putting in a lot of hours and working hard maybe society’s badge of honour that strokes one’s ego, but is it stroking our life and business with joy, love, fulfilment and growth❓ 💎

The First Step to Define Success is to Understand Awareness

Learning, Implementation, Outcome.

Food For Thought: The first step to define #success is to understand #awareness

💡 Robin Sharma, author of the 5am club explains in his book that with better daily awareness, we can make better daily choices and with better daily choices, one starts to see better daily results. He terms this the “3 Step Success Formula”.

What this essentially means for anyone who feels they’re in a constant daily struggle, whether in life or business, is we need to awaken our consciousness in our daily life.

What does this mean for us❓

✅ Our heightened level of insight and consciousness optimizes our daily decisions

➡️ When we are conscious of our #vision of the future (and no longer live by the memories of the past), we logically, both in physiology and mindset aspects, begin to make the daily choices that drive the right impact.

✅ Remembers, our decisions make our results

➡️ How we think and how we feel daily inevitably determines our outcomes. Remember, thoughts are the language of the brain, and feelings are the language of the body. So, if we control these elements, we start to decipher the right energy levels internally to lead to the right actions externally

💧 The secret of our success lies in our daily agenda 💧

Appreciate the Marginal Gains

Food For Thought: Appreciate the Marginal Gains

💡 Success is often the result of compounding gains i.e. If we get 1% better each day for one year, we end up thirty-seven times better by the time the year is done.

The best thing is this compounding effect works for relationships, income, health, habits – anything that we set our mind on improving.

Like an athlete invests in training today to reach peak later (e.g. the Olympics), in life it’s the same – we need to learn and get better every day to sustain peak performance later in life (new skills, education, etc.).

We may not notice getting 1% better at something tomorrow, but by the time we’re at 10%, 25%, or 37% better, we will start to see a significant change in our abilities.

High performers get out of bed and work on themselves each day realising that regular small improvements add up to large eventual gains.

Personal Growth and consistent improvement is what powers personal transformation and opens many new doors.

💎 Consistency is the Snowball Effect we can use to trigger change across all areas of our life for the better 💎

Fuel the mind to succeed

Fuel the mind to succeed

💡 In a world where news and information are at our fingertips, it may not often be easy to control what we think about because (either) internal or external forces look to steal our attention.

But just like athletes fuel their bodies for peak performance (by calibrating every calorie they consume), in the same way, successful entrepreneurs and leaders are intentional about the fuel they feed their minds.

What makes the ordinary different to the extraordinary is optimizing the brain for success, and below are some tips to consider:

✅ First, understanding our intrinsic motivation and inspiration is core to move, create, and live-in purpose. To discover one’s intrinsic sources, we need to gain self awareness.

✅ Once we gain a certain level of self-awareness, our actions toward success and mastery will be sustained by a QUALITY source of fuel.

✅ Secondly, spend time in the presence of remarkable people. This does not have to be physically but also includes reading biographies of other individuals considering our own development. Remember, success leaves clues❗️

✅ Lastly, visualise what success looks like DAILY. When it comes to tapping into our subconscious mind, so we can succeed in anything we like, visualizing what we want or what our goal is important.

💎 If we always do what we always do, we will always get what we always have currently 💎

Direction is enough to make your next choice

Direction is enough to make your next choice

💡 As entrepreneurs, one is bewildered with many decisions, especially in a young upcoming business. Most often, making good decisions requires us to balance the seemingly opposing forces of emotion and rationality.

An ideal world would be one where we are able to predict the future, accurately perceive the present and have insight into the minds of others and deal with uncertainty.

Unfortunately, ideal does not exist. So how does one then manage uncertainty if they feel alone

✅ Have a personal AND business blueprint

➡️ An entrepreneur’s personal and business goals are inextricably linked. Why? Cause our businesses fulfil NOT ONLY our personal goals, BUT also create sustaining impact in the lives of the customers we serve.

✅ Is there a passion and emotion linked to the business?

➡️ As an entrepreneur, long hours and certain sacrifices are required to grow a business. But when we are emotionally connected with our WHY and PASSION (both in business and our personal life), putting in long hours won’t feel like a sacrifice.
