💡 Warren Buffet shares a secret to his personal success: If we go to bed smarter than when we wake up, we are bound to create a path of success for ourselves – and this can be in business or in life.
In simple terms, what we choose to do consciously on a daily basis towards our own personal development determines the quality of our outcomes.
A simple checklist to determine our self-development priorities is by thinking through the following:
✅ Like every business has clients that need serving, ask – “Who is my most valuable client” ❓
➡️ The ideal answer should be ME i.e. you should be the most important client to yourself. Because if we do not serve and nurture ourselves, how do we expect to serve and nurture our clients?
✅ In our daily activities, which activities and tasks are stimulating us towards achieving our ultimate goal(s)❓
➡️ Prioritising our peak energy levels to maximise our output levels is crucial to sustained success. This means knowing when we are at our most productive each day, and when it is we are required to take a break.
✅ After a day’s work, how much time do we spend at home, sitting on the couch, watching TV, and zoning out until bedtime❓
➡️ This valuable time could be sold back to your most important client, YOU by investing in personal development practices and habits
Food For Thought: Using the Compound Effect in entrepreneurship
💡 The Compound Effect is based on a principle that the decisions we choose shape our destiny i.e. Little, everyday decisions will take us either towards our ultimate goals OR to an unsatisfied destination by default.
Therefore, by being conscious of the daily choices we make, we begin to make smarter choices moving forward. How does one do this❓
✅ By taking 100 percent responsibility for everything we experience, completely owning all our choices and all the ways we respond to whatever has happened to us, WE HOLD the power of #choice.
✅ In simple terms, poor decisions and erratic behaviour equals poor performance, whereas good decisions and consistently good behaviour creates success and high achievement.
A simple formula to remind ourselves of the above is:
✅ Preparation (personal growth) + Attitude (belief/mindset) + Opportunity (actively pursuing and not waiting) + Action (doing something about it) = Success
✅ Remember, it’s not the big things that add up in the end; it’s the hundreds, thousands, or millions of little things that separate the ordinary from the extraordinary. “Small, Smart Choices + Consistency + Time = RADICAL DIFFERENCE”
💡 Dabbling is better illustrated by imagining ourselves stick a toe in the water, and trying “this and maybe that”, whilst leaving the harder (and likely most important) things for a later stage. This is also better termed procrastination.
The problem with leaving things (in particular those that are most difficult, yet likely to produce the most effective results) to a “later stage” is by delaying things once, who is to say we won’t do it again❓
To regain our sense of control and succeed in anything we strive to do in business or life, consider the following:
✅ By spending our time doing a little of this and a little of that, a lot of little things are accomplished. Yet nothing that truly tests our abilities, or gives lasting satisfaction is produced.
✅ What yields outcomes is as a result of where our level of #focus and #energy is used. Therefore, if we focus on a lot of little things, we will get a lot of little accomplishments.
✅ BUT if we want something bigger as a result, we need to stay focused (and execute) on it long enough to get it done.
✅ Remember, do NOT major in minor things. Focus on the stuff that matters (and this includes everything in our personal life to our business – anything that is crucial to changing our future).

💡 How often have do we hear “It’s just mind over matter” ❓ If this is true, then just how powerful are our minds❓ Could we really change how stressed we may be about our business and life simply by changing the way we think about things❓
The answer (purely through experience), is YES and here’s why…
✅ Our perception determines our thoughts, feelings, and what we end up doing in actions in our business and life.
✅ By reframing things to change our perspective, we consciously practice the power of perspective and add new lenses which we use to see things in a new way.
✅ When we change the way we see the world by focusing on the good (instead of bad) and light (instead of darkness), our intentions automatically churn positivity. This vibe is what can be termed the #culture in a business
✅ By embedding this business culture, we seek opportunity and adventure rather than a pitty potty sobbing culture where employees feel drained versus those who feel energetic and empowered to do better.
✅ Lastly, we begin to understand any self-imposed limiting factors we throw at ourselves. This opens an opportunity to accept who we are today, and not give up who we strive to be tomorrow.

Food For Thought: Bad company corrupts good character
💡 We all need people to guide, help, and encourage us along the path to fulfilling our visions, whether in business or life. The only thing that will change our life, business and relationships, is the level of our own standards.
Coming from a smaller town environment where very few people supported each other and lent a helping hand when in need, I failed miserably in the early stages of my life. Yet, after moving to a bigger city and having had exposure to a wider network of people, I realised to succeed in our visions, who we associate ourselves with is vitally important.
4 lessons for any entrepreneur to consider, especially if one is early in the journey include:
✅ Get rid of negative people who bring you down. Surround yourself with people who lift you up, lend you knowledge and help you learn from your mistakes. Raise your standards for your inner circle.
✅ Be careful of the #negative influences others may have on your #vision. It is crucial for us to guard our hearts, thoughts, attitudes, and ideas from being sabotaged by those around us.
✅ Increase the #positiveinfluence in life and decrease the negative ones in pursuit of your goals.
✅ Remember, wrong behaviour comes from wrong thinking, which stems from wrong beliefs and poor standards, and often this is a contamination from our surrounding environment.
